Associate Ruta Behrend handles residential and commercial real estate transactions and co-op and condominium matters. Ruta has been practicing  transactional real estate law since her New York state bar admission in 2012. Prior to joining the firm she represented premier national lenders across United States in hundreds of transactions and gained extensive real estate finance law knowledge and experience. Ruta obtained her Bachelor of Arts in European Union and International Law Jurisprudence from Concordia International University in Tallinn, Estonia and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School. During law school, she joined the New York Law School’s Center for Professional Values and Practice where she explored the ethical issues associated  with law-related services in traditional and non-traditional legal practice settings.

Ruta is fluent in Lithuanian and proficient in Russian.
